PoP Up Blocker in SP2

I can't turn the sound of the pop up blocker and it is driving me crazy. I
have tried it in the control panel and in IE using the Tools. It shows it
being turned off but it keeps notifying me that it is blocking pop ups.

Can anyone offer any help?

in ie, near the bottom right of the screen, there are a
few boxes. try clicking aroung there until you find
something like : diasble popup blocker and popup blocker
settings. click on the latter, and then uncheck play
sound when popup is blocked. there you have it.

Open IE
Tools, Options
Then goto the Privacy Tab
In the Pop-up Blocker section, hit Settings
In the Notifications and Filter Level, uncheck "Play a sound when popup is
blocked"


to make sure it is off
Control Panel, Sound and Audio Devices
Sound tab
In the Program Events, scroll down to Windows Explorer, and make sure no
sound is asigned to "Blocked Pop-up Window"

The sound wasn't disabled in the Control Panel but it is now and it still is
making that crazy noise. I can't figure it out. I've tried turning it off
and everything but it still makes its noise. I have a pop up blocker by
Panic ware installed. Could this be causeing a conflict?

I have disabled pop up blocker but pop ups are still being blocked. I am not
able to preview online work. any help?

Either you have google toolbad or yahoo toolbar installed or you are
using IE's built in pop up blocker.

Hold down CTRL key and try the link again. Also check that you have
disabled ALL the popup blockers you may have installed.

I have both installed . Came on the computer that Dell installed. How do I
get rid of them?

Holding down the CTRL key worked! thank you for that tip. I disabled the pop
up function through my toolbars and through the control panel, but was
thwarted every time. Now, I've got a way around, thanks to you.

Glad to hear you're working again. It sounds like there is still at
least one blocker still working. Investigate it when you get a chance.
