Pop up blocker ignore Flash pages

Tribalfusion and a few other sites have figured out how to bypass the MSIE
pop up blocker (which interestingly enough blocks pop up on this site by
default). The pop ups are written in Macrovision's Flash format. I'm getting
tired of seeing pop ups from a.tribalvision.com and uninstalling Flash makes
far too many site puke out.

Hi,
There is some good information at http://www.ozoneasylum.com/4999 regarding
the blocking of Flash. I've used EMS Free Surfer Companion (listed on that
page) from http://www.emsproject.com/FS It works well and is easy to use.

The HOSTS file from http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm will block
Tribalfusion ads. The HOSTS file may block sites you *do* want to see and
you may occasionally have to edit the HOSTS file. If you right-click on
Flash pop-ups you can usually discover the source and add that URL to the
HOSTS file. I have 75-80 entries in my HOSTS file and rarely see a pop-up.

Additional information on the HOSTS file at:
The Hosts File (Gorilla Design Studio): http://www.accs-net.com/hosts/

Hope this helps,
Don
