poor quality photo printing with xp

i had win ME and 2 epson printers. now i have upgraded pc
with windows xp and printers (both) print pictures very
dark. almost looks like too much black ink..?? have tried
several things..nothing seems to work. camera to epson785
printer works fine..other printer is epson stylus photo
700. from printshop/graphics...ok...just from
photos..very dark...?? need help

OK, you say you "tried several things", but don't tell us what they are.
Did you uninstall the printers and reinstall with new drivers for XP
from Epson's website? What "several things" did you already try?
