Pool NonPaged Bytes problems.

Hi all,
Seem to be experiencing a strange memory leak on one of our W2K
servers.

Ran fine for a while. Suddenly rebooted itself with a Pool Nonpaged
Memory error.
(The server was unable to allocate from the system nonpaged pool
because the pool was empty)

I've set up loads of logging on Performance monitor ……

Memory : Pool NonPaged Bytes counter slowly rises throughout the day.

Memory : Pool Nonpaged Allocs seems to increase quite sharply.

Various other logs appear normal.

If I monitor the processes; none of them appear to show memory leak
type properties. They are all fairly level. Nothing Stepped.

I've three questions if anyone could help….

1) I know what Nonpaged bytes are, but can't find anything that
explains the ‘allocs' part very well. Could someone please put it
into simple terms for me :)

2) Is there a way of finding out what the maximum level is so that I
can anticipate when the server is going to die and reboot beforehand!!

3) If the Process : Nonpaged bytes counters are giving no clues. Is
there something else I can be checking?

Any info / insight much appreciated.

Regards

Graeme

Anything running in the background on this server that is out of the
ordinary? Maybe a run with Spybot or ad-aware is in order...
