I have two network adaptor on my machine, one is connected to cable
modem, on its status, it displays received and sent in "pockets". The
second card connects the internal network, and it displays recieved
and sent in "bytes". How do I change the status in first card from
"pockets" to "bytes"? How many bytes are in a pocket anyways?

It not pockets its packets(with an a). A packet in laymans terms is computer
data bunched together in a package. The internet transmits data using
packets. This is why the internet connection says packets. On a network the
data isn't measured that way, it is measured in how many bytes travels from
your computer to the server or another computer. I don't believe you can
change the way it is displayed for each.
