Pocket PC Synchronization Outlook 2002/Outlook 2003

I just purchased a new Cingular 8125 with Windows Mobile 5.0. Almost
everything is working well except the Pocket has Outlook 2002 and my laptop
has Outlook 2003. I have several thousand contacts divided into subfolders
in my Outlook 2003.

Two years ago I downloaded the Outlook 2002 Add-in for my system and it
worked beautifully (I was able to send all my contacts to the Main Contacts
folder and then it would sync with my old pocket.

When I downloaded the add-in this time and tried to install it I keep
getting an error message that I do not have an Office 2000 product installed
on my machine and it will not install.

Is there an add-in that will work between Outlook 2002 on the pocket and
Outlook 2003 on the laptop?

Thanks,
Val

I suggest you repost this to microsoft.public.pocketpc.activesync to see if
they have any more knowledge about the Pocket Contact Synchronization. It
is a feature of Activesync, not Outlook.

Just to let you know, it isn't an Activesync problem. I finally found Chris
De Herrera's website and there is a fix for the problem. It requires a
registry edit to include the o2k item that the add-in is looking for.

I edited the registry, loaded the add-in with no problems. Everything went
to the Outlook PCS perfectly and sync with my pda the next time I connected
it to my laptop.

Thanks,
Val
