Pocket PC 2003 and VPN to Win2K RRAS Server

I have a Dell Pocket PC running Pocket PC 2003. I connect to the Internet
via a Sprint CF2031 wireless card. I then try to connect to the RRAS server
via a VPN. I see my user name appear in the RRAS snap-in on the Windows 2000
server, but the connection timer never increases. Then I get diconnected
within a few seconds. It seems the authentication is working being I appear
as a connection. Can anyone offer any suggestions.

After looking into it some more I found the logs on the RRAS server show
the unit successfully logged in and is communicating with encryption, but
the very next event log says the connection was closed by the client. The
only reason I bought the Axim with Pocket PC 2003 was because MS boasted the
improved VPN functionality. Is there a patch or an updated VPN client I can
install?

Turn on auditing and look for possible System Event log
entries.

I have exactly the same SprintPCS card as you, and
although I have done many things with the card, I haven't
tried to connect using a VPN... because I'm at a loss what
to do with the connection since you can't browse Windows
shares (unless you purchase a third party app).

Conceivably I suppose it's possible to pull POP or IMAP
mail or connect to Intranet web resources, but I would
probably prefer to expose those resources using
certificate-based SSL instead of using a VPN...

Have used my 2031 with an HP5455 and a Toshiba e740.

I don't know that there is much significant diff
supporting VPN in PocketPC2002 and Win Mobile 2003 except
for support possible support for certificates and RADIUS
authentication.

Check out my personal PDA site while you're at it...
