Pocket Access

Where can I find Pocket Access? I have an Ipaq with Pocket
PC 2002, and I would like to be able to design databases
for it. Can someone give me a place to get Pocket Access
for Pocket PC 2002?

Thanks,

Pocket Access did not have the ability to create forms, so it would be of
little use to you. All it did was move data to/from the pda to ms-access.

So, just like when your purchase Oracle, you don't get any thing to create
forms. The same goes for sql-server, it is just a data engine, but DOES NOT
have any forms creating ability. The same applies to picket access. This
simply means that it was of no use to create appcltions (just Like oracle,
or sql-server, there is no forms ability included).

Thus, you need to purchase a development system for the pda that allows
forms creations, or you can use the eTools from Microsoft (essentially this
is embedded VB for the pda). Last time I looked, the tools were free.

You can also use some of the many commercial database programs like
HandiBase.

However, the programming (code part) and the forms part of ms-access cannot
be used on the pad side...even if you did get picket access.

All in all, calling it pocket access was a bad choice for the name. On the
other hand many people are surprised that a Oracle database, or Microsoft's
Sql-server database HAS NO ABILITY to create interface stuff like forms or
reports.

In addition, the pocket access was only sold on the iPaq for a very short
time. It was essentially the sync system, and I believe all windows based
pda's have this ability now.
