I was using .PNG files in FrontPage before the SP3 update - and they worked
fine with all transparencies showing up perfectly
Now - since the update the transparencies r not thre - the backgrounds show
up black - so I thought well maybe it would still show up as a transparency
on my site - but it didn't - it showed up BLUE!!!!.LOL.ya - not black but
Blue!!!
NO TRANSPARENCY!!! :o(

Anyone know of a fix for this Please?

I have resorted to using the .Gif for my transpareny at the moment - as this
is fine for this particular site - but is noit going to be fine for all pages

I didn't know PNG was actually a 'transparent' image format. I would use GIFS
and JPEGS - as they are the standard for the web.

PNG is more likely a 'raw' file format (for Fireworks for example) and would be
considerably larger than jpeg or gif.

Hi Andrew
Ya ......PNG files do work as transparencies which I used via Paintshop Pro
- and b4 getting this computer formatted and reinstalling everything
including Office which had to have new security updates] they worked
perfectly with FrontPage
..png looked so smooth around the edges
Jpg's r never transparencies - so I would only ever use them if did not
need to have transparencies and want smaller files - I am using .gif's at the
moment as having a slight white outline on the transparencies does not matter
this time around - but it could matter under different circumstances - but
thnx for the reply - much appreciated that u took the time to answer :o)

Hi JDR

Thnx for the URL - I will go chk it out and let u know in here if it helped
me at all - and even if it doesn't - always good to have a troubleshooting
URL to add to my favourites - they come in so handy :o)
