PLZ HELP! PAGE SIZE PROB!

I have win xp sp2 edition. I have a okidata ml420 printer that I print on
premade form. that being said:

when I used to have win98, I could hit the print button and the little
window would come up that comes up before you print (the one that you choose
the pinter and number of copies etc) from that window I could choose the
ml420 and under the advanced button I could choose a custom paper size
because the form I use is 8 1/2 x 8 1/2.

NOW with win XP When I choose the printer and go to advanced there is no
custom paper size choice. I have tried different drivers from the
manufacturer and the windows driver but there is just no ooption for custom
paper size.

Does anyone hae any ideas how to make a paper size of 8 1/2 x 8 1/2? Any
ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Thanx so much for helping me create the form. Now can you tell me how to get
it to show up in the list of available forms for the printer? <i.e. letter,
A4 etc...>

Hi;

After you have entered the values in the bottom of the dialogue box,
make sure you have types in a Form Name, say 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 Custom,
and clicked Save form.

It should now list in Word with the other sizes when you navigate to the
dialogue with paper layout/size.

Note that the exact location might differ depending on the printer
driver in use.

Two common sequences: Page Setup Paper Paper Size. Also, in
Printers and faxes Highlight the printer in the list. Right click.
Printing properties Layout Advanced Paper/Output Paper size.

Let us know.

I am having the same problem. I can add a form, but it does not show up in
the page size list under printer properties. I have tried with several
printers, both local and networked. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thank goodness for the forums. I was going crazy with the same problem. It
worked for me. The new form was in the list. Thanks for all who help.

I have the same problem. I can add a form but it doesn't show up in the drop
down list for any of my applications. I've rebooted and it still doesn't
show.

I am having a similar problem. This was a working machine until the C:
drive crashed. I had to reinstall Windows XP professional. Carbonite
restored my data, but I lost all my settings.

My printer is an OKIdata Microline 591. When I perform the test print page,
it ends up 6 lines from the bottom. I had to create a new form that is 8.5 x
11.1 inches. This seems to work for a page, but I am afraid that it will not
be good enough for a long report, plus I should not have to lie to get the
forms spacing right. It was not this way before the crash.

Any thoughts?????
