PLEASE make Autofit text apply to text boxes and not just placehol

I can't understand why Microsoft would think it a good idea not to allow
people to keep their text inside the text boxes if the functionality is
already available for placeholders. Please add the autofit function to text
boxes. It would greatly help.

Try the following:
Right click on your text box or shape and select "Format". Click the Text
box tab. Make sure the box for "word wrap text in autoshape is checked". If
you want the size of the shape to automatically adjust to the amount of
text, check the "Resize autoshape to fit text" box as well. (FYI: If you
start with a text box instead of a shape, both of these are automatically
checked. You can then change the shape of the text box by selecting the text
box and using Draw--> Change Autoshape to change the shape of the box. You
may need to go back to Right Click--> format to change the line and fill so
that it shows, but it does change.)

Does that do what you need?

Pretty sure NBD is looking for the text size to change to fit in the text box
not vice versa and this could be a useful idea.

Sorry, I was actually hoping that wasn't the case.

Kathy Opinion: Just because you can make more text fit on the slide/in the
box doesn't mean you should do it. My two cents.
