Hi, I've recently been having problem with IE6. When I go
on certain sites or especially going onto Yahoo to search,
IE6 brings up n error message saying:-

AppName. iexplore.exe AppVer 6.0.2800.110
ModName. Urlmon.dll
ModVer. 6.0.2800.1188 Offset. 000082a2

I install IE6 but after a while I get it again. Am I
missing the urlmon.dll file from somewhere? I've tried
repairing but it makes no difference.

I would appreciate anyones help.

There is another thread active where this issue is being worked on
for a Windows 98 user. Which OS do you use?

Subject: urlmon.dll error on IE6
Date: Mon, 14 Jul 2003 08:29:11 -0700

It will be simpler for you to read the other thread using Google Groups
e.g. go there and enter this as your search term:
msgid:[email protected]

You will see that malware is the suspected cause.

BTW unless you really have to use that horrible web interface
to newsgroups you may prefer using Outlook Express as your
newsreader. Copy the following URL to your Address bar and
click Go (or press Enter):
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6.browser

You may have to do some personalizing in order to post with it.

Good luck
