Please help

Windows mail did not work anymore on my main account in Windows Vista.
All sollutions presented here did not work, including Live Mail.
So I created a new account and hoped my problems would be over. But
now, although mail seems to work, attachments I receive wont open. I
see the right icons but when I doubleclick nothing happens. When I
choose to save the attachments it says I should check diskspace, but I
can see no problem there. But I can't save them and thus not open
them. I've changed the settings in security tab, but that doesn't make
any difference.
Has anyone any idea?

Which antivirus are you running? Some of them are not fully compatible
with Windows Mail.

I'm running AVG... But I'm not sure its still working.

Guess what,
I installed a newer version of AVG (8.0) and all is working well.
Thanx for setting me on the right track!!
