please help

windows xp..i can get to sites fine but i cant do
anything secure and i get the message current security
settings prohibit running active x and page may not
display correctly.....i can go to say aol.com but when i
type in my username/pass it does the page cannot be
displayed. what security setting do i need to check,
change etc so i can get to these secure parts of the
sites? i have dsl and its on a network the other computer
is fine and i made sure all the security settings matched
the ones on the other pc..whats going on??

I have encountered this problem with AOL twice before.
If memory serves you need to upgrade your version of IE, if you already have
the current version of IE then you need to run the repair tool.
