Hi,

Below is a copy of what I have in Excel, imported from Quickbooks 8.

NAME PREVIOUS 2004

BEWDLEY Y

BEWDLEY 4YY

STONE
Y

CLOWS TOP Y

STOURPORT Y

STOURPORT 4YY

There may be hundreds of entries like this in the list.

What I need to do is isolate the ones that only have as Y under 2004. In
other words I need to see Stone and Clows Top, but NOT Stourport and
Bewdley.

Any way of doing this please?

Dave

Hi Dave,

Use Data>Filter>Autofilter on that column, and select the Y value from the
dropdown.

Hi Bob, and thanks.

I'm afraid it isn't as simple as that, because when I select Y under 2004,
ALL the addresses come up! Look at the example.

The Bewdley and Stourport with 4YY won't come up, but they still have a Y on
another line.

I need to erase ALL mention of Bewdley and Stourport in the example.

Thanks for any advice.

Dave
