Hi Bruce,
Unplug from your Internet connection, and then repair Windows:
using this method:
http://michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm
Afterwards, boot up your system, turn on your XP Internet Firewall,
plug back into your Internet connection and install all Critical and
Recommended updates from:
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com
Afterwards for security purposes:
1) Run a Virus Scan:
http://housecall.antivirus.com/
2) Run Spybot from:
http://security.kolla.de to remove any Trojans, Adware, or Spyware
3) Install a Free AntiVirus:
http://www.grisoft.com
4) Run a Security Check at:
http://security.norton.com/default.asp?langid=us&venid=sym
There are other services and programs available that do the same job that
are just as good or better. I'm not trying to promote one over another.

| I've posted a couple of times but got no response, if
| ther is a protocol I should follow please let me know.
| The "This program must close " window is always there for
| Windows Explorer, it comes up when I boot the sys. My
| taskbar is also inaccesable. Virus scan says it's clean,
| and I'm unable to do a restore.
|
| If someone could at least suggest where else I could ask
| for help it would be appreciated.
| Thanks,
