Please help with error message!

After downloading the Windows security updates for my XP Home Edition, I get the error message "MsScript Control::unknown error" after restarting my computer. I ran Norton Utilities WinDoc, but it didn't fix it. Is there anyway to fix this problem without having to do a restore? Thank you!!

I would start with try a clean startup on Windows XP. See the below article
