please help! <winroot>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe

i get this messgae when i switch my laptop on. its
stopping it from goin to windows xp. can anyone help me
to overcome it?

Im sorry, but you are in deep trouble. This file is a "core" file of windows, and there is probably other files that are damaged. You will need to reinstall your Windows. You can do a repair if you don't want to loose any documents and applications installed.
