please help!!!! unable to locate kernel componet message

I get an error message when i try to open my control panel??? it says unable
to locate kernel component then in the box it just says wt kernel????
appreciate any and all help
 
Try installing xp cd,exit the info page,go to run,type:cmd In cmd type:
Sfc /Scannow When its thru type:CHKDSK C: /F Agree to restart,then type:
EXIT Restart computer,remove cd.
