Please help me with Form Fields.

I am trying to design a form. The problem is when you start typing in the
form field it shifts the other words around. How can i make that field a
certain size to where the other words wont move around? For instance lets say
the form looks like this:

Lastname: FormField Firstname: FormField

Well once you lock it and start typing in the last name it will move the
first name. How do you lock it so the firstname wont move?

Make a table, and put each field in a separate cell. Turn off the table's
borders (Format > Borders & Shading) if you don't want them.

What you are talking about is what Word calls an "online form." Check this
in help. For more about online forms, follow the links at
http://addbalance.com/word/wordwebresources.htm#Forms or
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/FillinTheBlanks.htm especially Dian
Chapman's series of articles.

Hope this helps,
