Hi There

My problem is, my IE always displays permenantly on the bottom. If I have any other program on the foreground, I can't switch to one of my IE windows without minimizing everything first

I just started having this problem, I think it started when I installed an anti-sasser update or something

Can anyone help? I'd like to just uninstall it, but I don't even know how to do that

Thanks in advance for your help

Sincerely
Chris

I have the same problem. Started before sasser. After all the lousy security/XP updates. I have to use Task Manager to stop it. It also shows 2 instances of IE running. I can't uninstall IE ( 6 ) using Add/Remove. Even tried deleting iexplore.exe and it returns automatically in seconds. I have gone into services to try and stop processes that might be doing this. I cannot display the site either, it just shows on the bottom. CPU usage goes high and slows computer sometimes. Anybody know how to delete IE6 in XP? It also has messed up gaming sites. Using mozilla Firefox, but won't run some games either, but won't give me "runtime" errors like IE. Thinking of going to Win2000 Pro like my work laptop. I will even take back rebooting Win98 over this
I appreciate any help. Thanks also in advance.

Remove any 'Auto-hide' option for the Windows taskbar and while the window
is maximized, resize the taskbar then return it to the desired size. This is
to try to make Windows re-calculate the window size and boundaries.

If no joy, run regedit and remove these registry key values:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\window_placement

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Desktop\OldWorkAreas\OldWorkAreaRects

Then reboot.

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
than just those two programs. CWShredder is also available here:
