messed up - it's huge and i can't seem to reset it. i know i uninstalled

this up? i can barely even use the computer b/c it's too hard to look at at
nothing fits properly on the screen. please help - i'm going blind and crazy!
thanks in advance, kim
Don't forget that you can use keys like TAB and the arrows to navigate
controls on pop-ups like "Display Properties", even when the applicable
buttons are off the lower or right edges of the display. When a
rectangle appears around the "Screen Resolution" slider you can move it
with the left and right arrow keys. A single SHIFT-TAB will highlight
the "OK" button (allowing the ENTER key to "click" it).
Apparently you have deleted your video accelerator driver. That is
probably something beyond the Windows System Recovery utilities' ability
to repair.
IF you have a separate installation CD for your graphics
accelerator/video card you could insert it into your CD reader. It just
MIGHT autorun an application that will reinstall your video drivers OR
offer a menu to run the driver installation software.
IF you can see enough to navigate your video card manufacturer's web
site you may be able to download software to reinstall video drivers
from their support or download pages. If you don't have a separate video
card you might find video accelerator drivers on your computer
motherboard manufacturer's web site.
A generous acquaintance might allow you to download the driver
installation software on their machine and allow you to use a CD-R or
flash drive to transfer the driver installation software to your computer.
Sometimes you have to bite the bullet and use the factory reset media
that come with many name brand computer systems. The problem with that
procedure is that it might erase ALL of your user data including typed
documents, email and photographs. That is where people regret not
producing those data backups you are frequently hearing recommended.
