hi. my situation is like this. i have to monitor daily receipts of a
commodity delivered to the plants (12 diff plants). In a day, deliveries
varies from zero to 10 or more trucks. But the important thing is the
total of the items delivered in a day ( so i settle in using excel's
subtotals). But i need to do this to 12 sheets (1 sheet/plant), and
transfer manually the results to my "summary of daily delivery per plant
" sheet. i wish to link all my subtotal results to the summary sheet but
if i do the simple linking, it will be tediuos and time consuming. Can i
automate this using excel? I tried to use ms access but i am not well
versed of the system. Can somebody please help me? thanks.

couple of questions
1) what is the structure of the plant sheets?
e.g. does it look like this
A.............B...............C
1.......1/1/04......Truck1.......2000
2........1/1/04......Truck2.......3000

etc
2) what is the structure of the summary sheet?

this will give us an idea of what solutions to suggest. Please when you
reply just detail the structure as i've done, there is no need to attach
your workbook.
