I had some disk errors which I think caused the boot error that I'm now
getting:

STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The Session Manager Initialization system process terminated unexpectedly
with a status of 0xc000026c (0x00000000 0x00000000).
The system has been shut down.

I can't even log on.
My files were encrypted, and I didn't realize before that I should plan data
recovery in case of such a system failure.
Of course I backed up my important files, but they are encrypted inside the
archive... (I didn't notice it, because I tested restoration while logged
on...)
What would you recommend that I do?
If I run the 'repair windows' from my installation CD, will it destroy my
existing certificates and render my files lost for good?
I can access the drive by booting from my alternate WinXP installation (on
another partition), so is there anyway to recover the certificates from there?

Thank you so much.

Thanks, but I can't find there (or anywhere I googled) neither a specific
solution for fixing the error, nor to my second (more essential) question:
If I repair the installation using my XP installation CD, will I lose access
to previously encrypted files?

Thanks
Guy
