Please advise with this ODBC error!

Hi, how is everybody doing?

I uninstalled the time-limited (Nov 30) beta edition of the new MS Office
Professional 2003 yesterday, and reinstalled the 2002 version.

Now:

1. On installation an error message cropped up saying that a ODBC entry
could not be found in the registry for Access 2002. I chose to ignore it and
continue with the install. The program runs but I found that I cannot save
any database created. I get an error stating that the ODBC Driver was not
found!

2. Outlook 2002 cannot access the Outlook data file!!

I have a vague feeling these two issues are somehow related and I honestly
do not know what the ODBC thing is!!

I shall be very grateful for any pointers.

Thanks in anticipation. Everybody have a very nice day.

Open Control Panel then open "Data Sources(ODBC)"

Under the User DSN tab do you have "Microsoft Access Driver"? A basic Office
setup will generally show 3 items in here........Access, Dbase and Excel

If not, click on "Add". In dialog box that opens scroll down to the Microsoft
Access Driver and select it and "Finish".
