Playing MPEGs

I recently upgraded laptops and transferred all my presentations to my new
laptop. I have added codecs to match my old machine, but now I find that I am
unable to play my MPEGs. My AVI videos play fine. The issue is that I reuse
and modify my presentations and have over 50 videos. For that reason, it is
entirely too time consuming to reload all the videos using PFC Media. Is
there anything I can do to fix this problem?

Eddie,

Do a Google for "GSpot". It's a utility that will give you a good deal of
info on the media files, including the codec it uses. From there track down
the needed codec and install it. Just be aware that if you send the pressie
to another PC, you will have to do the same on it, and any PC you send them
to.

Austin,
Thanks. I had actually already tried "GSpot". What I did after posting, I
went back and deleted Real Player,Quicktime as well as a few codec installers
(K-lite Mega Coder 1.48, WM9 Codecs). I also uninstalled PFC Media. I then
reinstalled WM9 Codecs and K-lite Mega Coder and everything seems to be
working fine now.
