Playing ASF Movies - Powerpoint Hangs!

Hi,

I have an ASF move file that I would like to play inside a PowerPoint
presentation. I can play the movie in Windows Media Player, and it all runs
OK. However if I insert the file into PowerPoint, and run the presentation,
it shows the movie as being there, but it doesn't actually play, it just
hangs, in the end the only way to end PowerPoint, is the good old 3 fingered
salute!
Is it possible to play ASF files? It's only 200kb, not huge, I can convert
it to AVI and play, however the AVI files ends up about 90mb, which is a
huge increase from 200kb!

Any help much appreciated

Ben,

How was the video created? (Any chance it was done in Movie Maker?)
Regardless, some asf files simply will not work in PPT and will need to be
converted. Have a look at www.pfcmedia.com for an add in that will take
care of all this automaticaly for you.
