Play sound when messages arrive

Hi all, I use MS Outlook 2003 , I try to enable Play a sound when messages
arrive, but still does not work, something preventing that, play sound box
has check mark and volume and speaker is ok, any idea.Should I create any
rule? Thanks in advance.

The sound is only being played for messages arriving in the Inbox folder of
your default delivery location.
 
Thanks Roady for your respond, you are right, in network environment I am not
able to get sound when reciving email, but when I open MS Outlook localy I
can hear sound when message arrive, so then what is the solution? Thanks.

I don't see a question/issue in your reply. What exactly are you asking?
I don't see your relation to a networked/local environment either. What do
you think the difference is?
