Play a sound when a header arrives in the inbox

Unlike for emails being downloaded in the inbox with a sound, I don't think
that this is possible for headers. I am using Outlook 2007, Send a smile has
disappeared from my laptop and it does not seem possible to download it
again. This is why I post here.

The send a smile function was disabled in early October as the beta team was wrapping up Outlook for RTM.

Thanks for the info. I suspected something like that. I hope that you voted
for my suggestion.

Nope - did not. I only download full emails and have rules set to play specific sounds for mail from specific senders.

I download headers because here in England most ISP offer limited bandwidth
and mine offers free downloads from midnight to 8am. So when I receive
emails with very big attachments, I download them before 8am, to spare my
limited (4GB/month) bandwidth. Also when I get a strange header from an
unknown sender, I go check online on gmail before downloading it.

Ah, to live in the land of unlimited broadband - sorry to boast but I downloaded a file last night at 776 kb/s. I think I would move if I had to go back to dial up or limited service.
