I am trying to create a table that has a heading on the left side of th
chart. I want the text to run from left to right but longwise along th
other columns how can I do this. In other words if you were looking a
the table everything is viewed from top to bottom normally except th
left heading which is viewed longwise from bottom to top. Thanks

Not really sure what you're asking for, but here are a few alternatives you
might want to try.

#1: Use
Format >> Cells >> Alignment
for the "left heading" and modify the "Orientation"

#2: Make the "drawing toolbar" visible and use its "Text box" feature.

#3. Use
Insert >> Picture >> Word art
