Pix do not display after insertion

I insert a simple jpeg from "My Pictures" into a page and the only thing that displays is an outlined box with a small box with a red x in the upper left hand corner. Even after saving the page, I do not get the option to save embedded files. I never experienced this problem with FrontPage 2002. Is there a setting to be adjusted? Please help...

The key word is IMPORT! You must import your images into your site files
before using them on pages ... not embed them!
