pivottable/pivotcache question

Hi,
Here is my problem: I have 5 reports with similar structure. All of them
have pivot tables and vba code. All the pivot tables are based on data in the
data sheet which is extracted from an Access db using vba code.
The situation is one of the report's pivot table's data has exceeded 65536+
rows. So I ended up creating an external query with no vba code to create
that pivot table. Because of this, this report is now out of whack with the
other 4 reports.

Is there any way I can add VBA code that will automatically extract data
from the table in the Access db (using external data option) in all the 5
reports and the select will fetch data based on the report name?
it would be of great help to me if somebody can point me in the right
direction or give me some sample code.

thanks

Instead of creating the reports from the extracted data, can you base
the pivot tables on the Access data directly?
