Pivottable looses Grouping on refresh

I have a PT which is grouped by month and Years(Column
Headers) and Part No.(Row Headers). When I change the
source data and click the data refresh button I looses the
column grouping and it cannot be regrouped.

Anyone know why?

Perhaps the source data contains blank cells in the field that was
grouped. This will undo the grouping, and prevent you from regrouping.
