i have a pivot table featuring "names" as rows, "location" and "opponent" as
columns, "wins" as the data, and "region" and/or "weight class" at the top.

my problem is, when i sort the data by weight class, i get lots of gaps
because some of the names are not featured in that weight class. is there a
way i can link th name to the weight class so that when i select certain
weight classes, only certain names' wins are displayed?

thanks much,
stephen

This is probably a problem with the way your data is
structured. The pivot table should automatically filter
out the blanks. If you want to e-mail me your work I will
try and fix it for you.
