pivot table showing text

hi,

i would like to know if there is a way to show a pivot table showing text
values instead of sums and counts. i have a a data sheet which only contains
text. i was thinking of using a VLOOKUP tat contained multiple AND/OR, but i
cant figure that out either.
can someone help?

I've gotten it to work with text. If you double-click the items that you
want to put in the Pivot Table (it's called 'Show Field List'), all items
will be entered into the 'Row' area. Everything cascades down based on the
first item in the 'Show Field List'. Change to suit your needs.
