Pivot Table Primer

Hi,

I have a worksheet with product sales by branch which looks like this (very
simplified, thousands of rows of data)

Branch Product Sales Value Refund Value
town1 widget a 445 0
town2 widget a 1345 23
town3 widget a 5643 0
town1 widget b 333 0
town2 widget b 664 0
town 3 widget b 332 0

etc,

I want it to look like:-

widget a sales widget a refunds widget b sales widget b
refunds
Town 1 445 0 333
0
Town 2 1345 23 664
0
Town 3 5364 0 332
0

I "think" Pivot Tables are the solution, but not really used them, can
someone confirm this is the best way, or point out a better way, and can
anyone recommend a really good online Pivot Table primer ?

Thanks Ed and Dave,

Those links are great, I'm a lot further forward now.
