Pivot Table on Share Drive???

Can a pivot table be shared on a share drive and used by multiple users at
once? Whether the pivot table is in Excel or Access? I was thinking of
putting a "New Database Query" in Excel on a share to be used for multiple
users. Tried an Access DB kept closing and performance was very very slow (
our server is cross country EC). Any advice on this would be very helpful.
The data in the pivot would be mostly for viewing.

Also,for multi-user setup of a ms-access database, you need to split your
