Pivot Table not counting

The pivot table grand total is only adding the number of cells being used. I
need it to actually add the numbers inside the cells. Does this make sense?
Any help? Thanks!

It sounds as though the Data field is set to “Count†the values rather than
“Sum†them.

Click on the filed in the “values†area of the Pivot Table Fields List
dialog box. Then choose “Value Field settingsâ€. Change it to “sumâ€.
