pivot table max unique item

Please help how to resolve the following:

"A field in your source data has more unique items than can be used in a
pivot table. Microsoft excel may not be able to create the pivot table or may
create the pivot table without the data from this field"

Ivan, have you resolved this issue. I too am experiencing this problem.
