Pivot Table formatting

Is there a way to stop a pivot Table from "re-formatting"
every time it's refreshed? Basically, the table changes
the column withs and Font sizes everytime it's
refreshed. How can this be prevented? Thanks!

Ohhhhhh......... I still remember the pain.

First make sure pivot table selection is turned on. Its on the pivot table toolbar.

Next open the options dialog for your table (right click on the table and select options) then make sure preserve formatting and autoformat table are both selected.

The pivot tables elements can then be selected in turn and formatted. You select the components by hovering the cursor over the top or right edge of the element and when it turns into a little black arrow, click to select. You'll have to experiment until you have it down.

That should then stick, but i have spent many a happy hour trying to get the sequence right, only to find a refresh drops the whole lot.
