Pivot Table Drill down - what does it sort on

I have a worksheet which I created a pivot table on. One of the fields in the pivot table is w/e date. I have selected ascending for sort order on W/E date. But when I double click on the data field in my pivot table to drill down, it still does not sort appropriately. Any ideas?
 
How do the dates sort?
Do they sort as expected in the pivot table?
