Pivot table calculations.

I have a pivot table that currently displays number of orders for each each
for two different months. October 2005 data is in one column and October
2006 data is in the column to the right. Then the far right column is the
grand total column. Can you insert a calculation to show the difference in
number of orders between 2005 and 2006?

If so then how do you do this?

thanks for the tip. I'm thinking I may need to change something either in
the data itself or how the data is grouped/ungrouped. When I try to use this
functionality I get the following message "A field in your source data has
more unique items that can be used in a pivot table report. Microsoft Office
Excel may not be able to create the report, or may create the report without
the data from this field."

I'm not sure of how to resolve this.

If you have thousands of records, and have included a field in the pivot
table that has many different values, e.g. Invoice number, you might see
that message. Remove that field and the pivot table may allow the other
changes.
