I am having trouble with including a calculated item in my pivot table. It works o.k but it creates a kind of "cartesian product" with my data. I have created a very simplified model of my data below for illustration purposes.
The attachment shows Table 1 the original pivot table before adding the calculated item.
Table 2 shows the pivot table after i have added a calculated item "Variance" which is = Actual - Forecast.
You can see that for every division the pivot repeats all the countries whether or not they are in that division for example you can see that in EMEA its showing France, Germany and the UK.
My real data is a lot more complicated so I end up getting the message "Too many records to complete this request"!
