Pivot Table and Shared Workbook

Is there a way to update a pivot table in a shared worksheet without
unsharing then updateing the pivot table and then putting the worksheeet back
in share mode? If so how can I do it? Or any other suggestions?

You can view a pivot table in a shared workbook, but you can't refresh
or change it in shared mode.
