Pitch Control

In 1985 I recorded a simulcast off of FM in Stereo and the video on VHS (only
mono in them days)off of C-Band Dish. The Concert was John Fogerty at the
Chaplin and it was an awesome concert. My problem, when I dubbed the
reel/reel to VHS HiFi and the VHS video to the same machine, there was a
pitch difference, so every 15 minutes or so, the lips are out of sync with
the music.
Is there any software where as I dub it to my hard drive, so I can DVD
it, will allow me to adjust pitch as I go, without affecting video? I could
use the reel/reel agian to put audio on HD first and then VHS to add the
video and then I want to dub the two together.
The concert was never released and only shown on HBO with a local FM
Stereo simulcast.. I would like to line the audio up with the video, open to
all suggestions....well except for a few.

Thanks Byte, but I know how to hook up to my stereo, been recording onto the
Computer from reel/Reel, VHS-HiFi, LP etc for some time. My problem is a
little beyond that.
I have a Stereo Sound track on Reel to Reel of a Concert that was in 1985.
I have a VHS MONO recording of the Same concert. I had hooked by Reel/reel
to a VCR and my VHS HiFi was played in another VCR and I recorded the video
from the VCR and the AUDIO from the reel. The net result was PTICH was off by
about 1% which could have been the delay in the tranmission downlink to the
Radio station and then the rebroadcast of the link.
I would like to take the Video track and dub it to my Hard drive as a
video file and then take the Audio track and dub it to my Hard Drive. Now I
want to Mix both to a single Stereo file and be able to control the pitch as
I do so. My reel to reel DOES NOT have a Pitch control on it. So was hoping
I could do it at the computer.

Craig, I now understand what you are trying to do. I have only seen
success at sound studios where they use third party programs and some
very sophisticated/expensive equipment. There may be some available
on the Web and the only info I could find is at the below website. It may
be of some help. Happy putering. :~)

Thanks so much, Byte, I was afraid of that, I was hoping a simple utility
would work.. I guess with computers now just gettingt to the point where you
can produce, direct and edit and mix. That they will have the ability sooner
or later.
Thanks for the help. Much appreceiated.
