Pirated Software

I seem to be getting lots of messages offering pirated software. Some
Microsoft software is sold for $20. As I do not wish to buy anymore
software is there anything I can do to stop these messages? Can
Microsoft pursue these people selling their software so cheaply without
benefitting it?

Those spam email gimmicks are not selling anything. They want your
personal information and you'll get nothing in return except more spam.

Symantec's Norton AntiSpamT 2004 filters unwanted email out of your inbox.
Working with any POP3 email program, it filters incoming mail on multiple levels,
detecting and flagging unsolicited messages while promptly delivering valid mail.
To make your online time more enjoyable, Norton AntiSpam also blocks intrusive
pop-up and banner ads.

This could easily be read as "I'm done buying pirated software and now
that I don't want anymore then I'll pretend to be honest and report the
rest." Might not be want you meant but that's how it came across.

Report it! But then if you interrogated the headers, those scam e-mails
are probably from offshore. Since this is spam, have you even looked at
what anti-spam solutions are available to you? I have Norton Internet
Security which includes its SpamAlert but I don't consider it very
effective. Instead I also use SpamPal along with several of its
plug-ins (all free without being bannerware, crippleware, demoware,
adware, or an otherwise crapware styled product).
