I was thrilled to see your post about Python being great freeware.
I have followed it for a while as I am searching for the best/efficient
intro into programing.
Is Python the answer?
And if so can you recommend any more resources?

Thanks in advance

Python would be an excellent choice for learning programming.

This page should get you started..

If you have any questions then the ng comp.lang.python would be the best
place for them.

If you are a Windows user, then the Activestate Python distribution is
probably the easiest.

Cousin Domsters ....

Python is probably the coolest programming language
that I have run across since first learning to program
in 1966 ....

For an overview of who uses Python
and its diverse usage potental,
you might check out ....

For example ....

Industrial Light & Magic, the visual effects company
that created Star Wars, uses Python to glue together
the thousands of computers and hundreds of software
components used in its computer graphics production
pipeline. (Jan 2003)

Thanks for the link Cousin Stanley.
Can you think of any Python program
that might be found in these pages?
Or at least useful on the home computer?
