The download link for X-Setup Pro 6.6 in
http://www.pricelesswarehome.org/2005/PL2005PROGRAMMING.php
is
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4083.html
but unfortunately since 2005-02-28 it brings only X-Setup Pro 7, shareware.

ATM I've found this working link:
http://download.betanews.com/download/933525917/xqdcxsp-setup-en.zip
but who knows how much time it will survive...

And this one: http://www.chip.de/downloads/c_downloads_8830898.html

Kind regards,

X-Setup Pro 6.6 was shareware, but free for personal and non commercial use.
Isn't the same for 7.0? Anyone could confirm this?

Anyway, you could still download v 6.6 from The Mole Zone (url in
signature), section "system".

Kindly regards.

From the readme;

"X-SETUP PRO LICENSING

X-Setup Pro is licensed to you either as freeware or shareware; depending on the environment it is used.

Please read the enclosed LICENSE.TXT carefully or browse to http://www.x-setup.net/license/ for details.

In short: It's 100% Freeware for home user and charity/non-profit organizations, but shareware for commercial institutions."

To avoid confusion: is this the EULA from v6.6, isn't it?
Because now the EULA for the v7.0 is different:

Yep, thats from 6.6 (it's from the one thats integrated with the
installer)

So 6.6 could be considered as LFW.

Kindly regards.

Thanks you all for the links. :) New web pages have been uploaded.

I thought I recalled a promise that version 6.x would remain free. I
found the promise here:

http://www.xteq.com/misc/xset_to_xsp.html

<q>
However, it is important to know that only Version 7.0 of X-Setup Pro
and up will cost money, all pre-7.0 release (6.5, 6.6, 6.7 etc.) will
remain in the current freeware for home-users schema!
</q>

So I checked the new site - this is what I found there:

http://www.x-setup.net/product/boxversion.asp?lang=EN

<q>
Personalized license certificate
with autographs of the makers of X-Setup Pro

As version 6.6 is the last free version, we deliver the boxed version
with a personalized license certificate, which is autographed by the
makers of X-Setup Pro. This makes the boxed version a collector's item.
</q>

Today's best laugh. . .

Didn't find a download link. . .

Susan
