Pictures appear / don't appear

Alright, I have frontpage 2000 and just finished posting a website. I noticed
that in my top.htm border page, my slideshow images appear on some pages and
others it doesn't. More specifically, any page that is not embedded in a
subfolder the images don't appear, whereas pages not embedded they do. Here
is an example:

http://www.contactrochester.org/directors.htm - images appear

http://www.contactrochester.org/storefronts/storefronts.htm - images don't
appear

I used absolute links for the all the pictures used (ex.
http://www.contactrochester.org/images/buttons/banner1.png)

Any clue as to why this is? Thanks in advance for any help!
