pictures and desktop icons have got a weird shine to them

i was wondering if anyone knew why my desktop, desktop
icons, pictures etc... have gone all shiny ive tried
colour resolutions and nothing happend. and i havn't got
a virus or anythin. thanks for your time
 
Shiny? Never heard that description before, Mark. Have a screenshot you
